Legal
Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these terms
1.1 This website (the “Website”) is published by Mohit Gupta Law Offices (“the Firm”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a law firm based in New Delhi, India.
1.2 By accessing or using the Website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Website.
1.3 The Website is made available free of charge and for general information only.
2. No legal advice and no lawyer–client relationship
2.1 Nothing on the Website is legal advice, and nothing on it is intended to be relied upon as legal advice. The content is general in nature and does not address the facts of any particular matter.
2.2 Accessing the Website, reading its contents, or sending an enquiry through it does not create a lawyer–client relationship between you and the Firm. A relationship arises only once the Firm has completed its conflict checks and confirmed an engagement in writing.
2.3 Because no relationship exists at the enquiry stage, information you send through the Website is not covered by lawyer–client privilege. Please do not send confidential or privileged material until an engagement has been confirmed.
2.4 Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything published here. Legal positions change, and the application of law depends on facts. Seek advice on your own circumstances.
2.5 The Firm accepts no responsibility for any loss arising from reliance on any part of the Website.
3. Bar Council of India — no solicitation or advertisement
3.1 Under the rules of the Bar Council of India, advocates and law firms in India are not permitted to solicit work or advertise. The Website is not, and must not be construed as, an advertisement, solicitation, invitation or inducement of any kind.
3.2 The Website is intended purely to provide information about the Firm to those who ask for it. Any information you obtain from it is at your own request and by your own volition.
3.3 The Firm does not warrant that the information here is complete or current, and the Website is not intended to create any relationship or expectation of representation.
4. Changes
4.1 We may modify, suspend or withdraw the Website, its content or any part of it at any time without prior notice.
4.2 We may revise these terms at any time. The revised terms take effect when posted on this page, and your continued use of the Website means you accept them. Please check this page from time to time.
5. Proprietary rights
5.1 All content on the Website — including text, layout, design, graphics, icons, illustrations, photographs and code (the “Content”) — is owned by the Firm or used by it under licence, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
5.2 Except as expressly permitted in these terms, you may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, republish, distribute, sell, resell, adapt or otherwise exploit any part of the Website or the Content for any purpose without our prior written permission.
6. Permitted use
6.1 You may view the Website and print or download a single copy of any page for your own personal, non-commercial reference.
6.2 When you do, you must keep intact all credits, disclaimers, copyright notices and other legal notices, and you must not present the Content as your own or out of context.
7. Restrictions
7.1 You must access the Website only through a standard web browser, and you must not use any automated means to scrape, harvest or index it other than ordinary search-engine crawling.
7.2 You must not damage, disable, overburden, alter or impair the Website or any network or system connected to it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, introduce malicious code, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it.
7.3 You must not use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that misrepresents your identity or your relationship with the Firm.
8. Access on shared devices
8.1 If you use the Website on a shared or public computer or device, you should clear your browsing history, cookies, cache and browser storage after use. The Firm disclaims liability for any consequence of a failure to do so.
9. About the information on this website
9.1 The Content is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
9.2 We make no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability or suitability of the Content, or that the Website will be available without interruption or free of errors or viruses. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.
9.3 Descriptions of the Firm’s practice areas and of the types of matters it has handled are illustrative. They do not describe specific engagements, are not a prediction or guarantee of any result, and must not be read as a promise of any particular outcome. Every matter turns on its own facts.
10. Links to other websites
10.1 The Website may contain links to third-party sites and services, offered purely as a convenience.
10.2 We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for the content, availability, security or practices of any linked site, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of one. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms.
11. Maps
11.1 Any map shown or linked from the Website is provided by a third-party mapping service under that service’s own terms. Boundaries, names and designations shown on such maps do not imply any view on the part of the Firm as to the legal status of any territory, frontier or boundary.

14. Disclaimers of liability
14.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm, its partners, advocates, employees and agents disclaim all warranties in relation to the Website and the Content, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
14.2 You use the Website at your own risk.
14.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Website — even if the Firm has been advised of the possibility of such loss.
14.4 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15. Indemnity
15.1 You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Firm, its partners, advocates, employees and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of your use of the Website, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of the rights of any third party.
16. Copyright and claims of infringement
16.1 The Content is protected by copyright. You may not modify, reproduce or distribute the Content, design or layout of the Website without our express written permission.
